San Antonio - Trinity's Camryn Beall has been selected as the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
The sophomore midfielder sparked the 21st-ranked Tigers to a pair of SCAC home shutout victories, as Trinity defeated the University of Dallas (TX) 4-0 and Austin (TX) College 7-0. The Tigers also clinched the SCAC regular-season title.
Beall scored the first two goals against Dallas, firing the ball into the net in the 17th and 47th minutes of action. The matchup against the Crusaders was also her first career multi-goal game.
She picked up the assist for the game-winning goal against Austin College, as her shot hit the cross bar and rebounded to Cassie Bowers. Beall scored a goal of her own in the 17th minute of play.
This season, Beall leads the Tigers with nine goals and three game-winners. With the addition of her one assist, Beall has racked up a total of 19 points this season.
Trinity stands at 14-3 this season and is undefeated in conference play with an 8-0 record. The Tigers have produced flawless SCAC records for 11 seasons in a row, as well as winning 117 consecutive conference games.
The defending champion Tigers are the top seeds in this weekend's SCAC Championship at Georgetown, Texas. Trinity received a bye and will play in the semifinals at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Southwestern (TX) University. The championship tilt is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Sunday, with the winner guaranteed a slot in the NCAA Division III Playoffs.
