Trinity Women’s Soccer Ranked 16th in National Poll

San Antonio - The Trinity women's soccer team rose one position to a #16 ranking in the latest United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Poll.

The Tigers remained ranked second in the organization's West Region Poll. Led by third-year Head Coach Dylan Harrison, Trinity has claimed 13 straight victories and is sporting a 14-1-1 overall record, along with an undefeated 13-0-0 mark in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.

Trinity has produced 66 goals this season for a scoring average of 4.12 per game. A taut defense has shut out opponents 14 times during the campaign and allowed only three goals for a .190 goals-against average.

Senior Chelsea Cole leads the team team with 19 goals in her column, along with nine assists. Cole is tops in the points department with 47 to her credit. Senior Halleanne Dure has contributed 16 goals and an assist for 33 points. Sophomore goalkeeper Paige Wallace has registered a .25 GAA, allowing three goals, while posting 14 saves over 15 games.

Defending champion Trinity will host the six-team Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Championship this weekend. The top-seeded Tigers have a first-round bye and will play in Saturday's semifinals at 11:00 a.m. Their opponent will be the winner of fourth-seeded Centenary (LA) College and #5 Schreiner (TX) University, who meet on Friday.

The championship game is slated for 1:00 p.m. Sunday. The winner will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Playoffs with the pairings to be announced Monday, November 5.
