Women’s Soccer Moves Up to 15th in National Poll

San Antonio - The Trinity women's soccer team climbed two places and is now ranked 15th nationally by the latest United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Poll.

Led by Head Coach Dylan Harrison, the Tigers remained ranked #2 in the West Region. Trinity is on a nine-game win streak and stands at 10-1-1 overall with an undefeated 9-0-0 mark in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.

Last week the Tigers captured two SCAC road contests, shutting out Southwestern (TX) University 3-0 and then earning a 3-1 decision over Centenary (LA) College.

Trinity has posted 10 shutouts this season and is ranked fifth in shutout percentage at .833. The Tigers have a .241 goals-against average and are ranked sixth in the category. Offensively, Trinity has scored 46 goals during the campaign, good for a #9 national ranking. The 3.83 goals-per-game average places Trinity at 10th in scoring offense.

Senior Chelsea Cole was recently named the SCAC Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season. Cole has chalked up a team-leading 13 goals and is tied for the lead with three game-winners. She also has posted five assists this year.
