Women’s Soccer Ranked 17th Nationally in Latest Poll

San Antonio - The Trinity women's soccer team rose four positions and is now ranked 17th in the latest United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Poll.

Led by Head Coach Dylan Harrison, the Tigers stand at 8-1-1 overall and are undefeated in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference with a 7-0-0 mark. Trinity remained ranked #2 in the West Region.

The Tigers earned three shutout SCAC road victories last week, defeating Schreiner (TX) University, Austin (TX) College, and the University of Dallas (TX). Trinity is now on a seven-game win streak.

In national statistics, Trinity holds high rankings in a number of Division III categories. Among the rankings, the Tigers have posted nine clean-sheet games and are rated first in shutout percentage at .90. The taut defense has permitted only two goals, and Trinity is second in goals-against average, at .191. Offensively, the Tigers are sixth in total goals, having produced 40 in the campaign.

Kaity Ward has chalked up seven assists and is ranked ninth nationally. Chelsea Cole has scored 11 goals this season and is ranked 12th in the nation. Goalkeeper Paige Wallace has guarded the Tigers' net for over 645 minutes in nine games and has yielded only two goals. Wallace holds a goals-against average of .280, good for 11th on the national stage.

Trinity continues its SCAC schedule tonight (Tuesday) at Southwestern (TX) University in Georgetown, Texas.
