#21 Women's Soccer Streak Reaches Six Straight Shutouts

Sherman, Texas - The 21st-ranked Trinity women's soccer team posted its sixth straight shutout with a 4-0 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference victory over Austin (TX) College Friday night.



In spite of a 15-1 advantage in first-half shots, Trinity's opening goal did not occur until the 34th minute when Halleane Dure converted a corner kick from Lindsey Peng.

Ten minutes later, Madison Horner gave the Tigers a 2-0 lead on an assist from Chelsea Cole.

Dure scored her second goal of the night in the 75th minute of action.

The finale took place in the 85th minute as Cece Hendricks scored on an assist from Kelsey Kohler.

Trinity wound up with 31 total shots in the game, including 13 shots on goal. The Tiger defense held Austin to just three total shots and only one on-target attempt.



The Tigers won their sixth consecutive game and upped their overall record to 7-1-1 and 6-0-0 SCAC, while Austin College now stands at 0-8-0 and 0-4-0 SCAC.

Halleane Dure claimed her third multi-goal game in a row and the fourth this season. Dure is now tied with Chelsea Cole for the scoring lead with 10 goals scored this season.

Lindsey Peng is now tied for the team lead with six assists.

First-year Madison Horner scored her second career goal, while fellow newcomer Cece Hendricks produced her first.



The Tigers travel to Irving, Texas, for a 2:00 p.m. Sunday SCAC matchup with the University of Dallas (TX).
