Tiger Women Finish Fourth at West Region Invitational

Georgetown, Texas - The 43rd-ranked Trinity women's golf team finished fourth at the D3 West Region Invitational on Tuesday.



The Tigers shot a second-round 353 and finished with a 680 total at the par-72 Berry Creek Country Club course.

Trinity placed four golfers in the top-20 standings, paced by Raquel Hill's final-round 83 for a total score of 167.

Hill finished the tournament tied for 10th place and rose eight slots from the first day of competition.

Delaney Kelley tied for 13th place, just two strokes behind Hill. Emilee Strausburg tied for the #17 slot and Sara Buss ended in a tie for 20th.

Mabel Fowler wrapped up her first spring tournament in 33rd place.

The Tiger team registered 11 birdies in the event, good for second place in the category.

Strausburg, Kelley, and Hill had three birdies each to tie for second place individually.



Trinity will compete April 22-23 at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships, to be held at Vaaler Creek Golf Club in Blanco, Texas.
