Peoria, Arizona - The Trinity women's golf team placed 10th at the highly competitive George Fox Westbrook Invitational on Sunday.
The Tigers improved their first-round score by 12 strokes and finished with a second-round score of 319, which gave Trinity a two-day total of 650 at the Westbrook Village Golf Coursel.
Emilee Strausburg bettered her score by five strokes for a 5-over-par 76 in the final round. Strausburg carded a 157 and rose nine positions to tie for 24th place.
Raquel Hill was one stroke behind her teammate and placed in a tie for 29th in the standings. Delaney Kelly finished in a tie for the #46 slot.
Sarah Buss improved her score by 12 strokes and moved up four places to a tie for 52nd, with a final-round 79.
Seven of the top-25 teams in the NCAA Division III competed in the tournament. Defending D-III champion Claremont-Mudd-Scripps College (CA) won the event with a final score of 595.
The Tigers will compete April 1-2 at the West Region Invitational, to be held at the Berry Creek Golf Club in Georgetown, Texas.
