Trinity Women’s Golf in 10th Place at Westbrook Invitational

Peoria, Arizona - Trinity first-year women's golfer Raquel Hill is tied for 20th place after Saturday's opening round of the George Fox Westbrook Invitational, while the Tiger team stands in 10th place.

 

HIGHLIGHTS

Raquel Hill shot a 7-over-par 78 at the par-71 Westbrook Village Golf Club. Hill is just six strokes behind the three leaders from the University of Redlands (CA) and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges (CA).

The Tiger team shot a first-round 331 and is just six strokes behind 17th-ranked Whittier (CA) College.

Emilee Strausburg and Delaney Kelley each carded an 81 and are in a tie for 33rd place, while Sarah Buss stands at #56 after the first day of competition.

Seven of the top-25 teams in the NCAA Division III are competing at the George Fox (OR) University event. Defending NCAA champion and 10th-ranked Claremont-Mudd-Scripps is the first-round leader with a 301.
