Trinity Women’s Golf Finish Final Round of DIII Preview

Houston, Texas - The Trinity women's golf team completed the DIII National Preview in 16th place Tuesday at Bay Oaks Country Club.



The Tigers shot a final-round 340 for a 689 total at the par-72 Bay Oaks course.

Trinity finished 29 strokes ahead of Centre (KY) College and 53 ahead of Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference member Southwestern (TX) University.

Emilee Strausburg was Trinity's top individual player, finishing in a tie for 54th place. Strausburg shot a final-round 87 Tuesday for a 168 total.

Elizabeth McGillivray and Jordyn Jasperson tied for the 71st position with 174s. Jasperson improved her first-round score by 10 strokes and rose from the #85 slot.

Raquel Hill bettered her score by seven strokes and finished tied for 73rd place, rising from #80. Delaney Kelley was the most improved Tiger, dropping 12 strokes off her game for a tie for 91st, rallying from #96. Competing as an individual, Sarah Buss finished the event in 98th place.



Trinity will host the Alamo Classic October 15-16 at San Antonio's Quarry Golf Club.
