Seguin, Texas - The 23rd-ranked Trinity women's golf team stands in second place after Monday's opening round of the Lady Bulldog Fall Classic at Starcke Park Municipal Course.



The event marks the first tournament of the fall season for Trinity, which shot a first-round 316, and are just nine strokes behind #15 University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (TX).

Four Tiger golfers are in the top-10 standings, paced by Taylor Moser's 6-over-par 78. Moser is in a two-way tie for fourth place after the first round. Moser is just one stroke from second place, as well as six shots from the top spot individually.

Shelby DeVore and Emilee Strausburg carded 79s, and are tied for the sixth position. Elizabeth McGillivray came in at 80, and is tied for 10th place.

Delaney Kelley is tied for 29th place, while Georgina Hawley stands alone in the #36 slot.



The tournament's final round is scheduled to begin Tuesday morning.
