San Antonio - Trinity women's basketball Head Coach Cameron Hill has been selected as the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) Small College Coach of the Year.
Coach Hill was earlier elected as the D3hoops.com South Region Coach of the Year after guiding the Tigers to a 28-2 record and a trip to the NCAA Division III round of 16. It marked Trinity's third appearance in the NCAA Postseason under his leadership, and the 28 victories tied a school single-season record.
Trinity also captured its third Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship in the five years Coach Hill has been at the Tigers' helm. For his efforts, Coach Hill was tabbed as the SCAC Coach of the Career for the second time in his career.
Coach Hill's teams have produced three All-Americans, three SCAC Players of the Year, a SCAC Defensive Player of the Year, and two SCAC Newcomers of the Year. Fourteen players have earned All-SCAC accolades during Coach Hill's tenure. There have been four All-South Region Players over the last five seasons, one South Region Player of the Year, and one South Region Rookie of the Year.
Additionally, Coach Hill will be a featured speaker at the TABC Clinic on May 20 in San Antonio. He will speak at the El Tropicano Hotel at 9:45 a.m. about Trinity's women's basketball program.
