Tiger Track & Field Teams Excel at Texas Quad Meet

San Antonio - Members of the Tiger men's and women's track & field teams put on excellent performances for the home fans at the Trinity Quad Meet on Sunday.


Abigail Bannon-Schneebeck broke Trinity's record in the 100-meter hurdles, winning the event in a time of 14.99 seconds.

Bannon-Schneebeck also posted a team season-best in the 100 meters with her time of 12.87 seconds.

Makenna Bentley won the women's high jump with a personal-best of 1.60 meters that is also the best on the Tiger team this season.

Olive Pertuit won the 800 meters with a personal-record time of 2:27.06.

Andy Garza bested the top Trinity time this season in the 400 meters by some seven seconds.

Mia Loseff won the pole vault and Rylie Edwards took the gold in the 400-meter hurdles.

Blair Walker won the men's 200 meters with a personal-best time of 21.92 seconds, which is also the top Trinity mark this season.

Sean Majors won the men's long jump with a Tiger season-best and personal-record mark of 6.99 meters.

Chad Conway captured the 1,500 meters with a personal record of 4:11.76, and Seve Rodriguez won the 400-meter hurdles with a season-best time of 57.28 seconds.

Robert Slaybaugh finished first in the discus throw, as did Spyridon Defteraios in the javelin throw.



The Tigers will compete April 4-6 at the Angelo State (TX) University Relays/Multi Events in San Angelo, Texas.
