Trinity Enjoys Strong Showing at UIW Spring Break Meet

San Antonio - Trinity's men's and women's track & field team members took on competitors from the NCAA Divisions I and 2 on Thursday and Friday at the Cardinal Spring Break Classic at the nearby University of the Incarnate Word (TX).



Brianna Ratliff was runner-up for by four seconds to the UIW runner in the women's 3,000-meter run with a personal-record time of 10:28.79, breaking her previous mark by some 30 seconds, and earning a spot in the top five in Trinity's record book. Ratliff also posted a personal best of 4:55.58 in the 1,500-meter run.

Mia Loseff finished third in the pole vault with a height of 3.50 meters, following up her record-breaking performance in the event earlier this month.

Robert Slaybaugh finished second in the men's discus throw with a personal-best mark of 45.93 meters. Slaybaugh also posted a mark of 14.05 meters in the shot put and 37.45 meters in the hammer throw, with both earning a spot in the top five of Trinity's record books.

Daniel D'Rovencourt vaulted 4.11 meters in the men's pole vault, for a top-10 Trinity finish.



The Tiger teams will compete in two meets March 22-23.  First up is the Victor Lopez Classic March 22 at Rice (TX) University in Houston, Texas. Other team members will head to Seguin, Texas March 23 for the TLU DIII Challenge at Texas Lutheran University.
