Trinity Track & Field Enjoys Successful Home Meet

San Antonio - Members of the Tiger track & field teams blazed through with personal and team records Friday at the Trinity Invitational.



Nkolika Nweke broke her own school record with her time of 25.25 seconds in the women's 200 meters, finishing second in the race.

Molly McCullough ran a personal-best 4:55.32 on her way to winning the 1,500 meters, while Abigail Schneebeck also set a PR in the 400-meter Hurdles with a time of 1:04.96.

The team of Nweke, Elizabeth Peters, Androniki Defterarios, and Britney Sullivan captured the win in the 4x100-meter relay.

In the men's events, Matt Love won the title of the discus throw, and Adam Saunders, Jonathan Sorey, Cody Hall, and Raphael Martin captured the 4x100-meter relay.

Blair Walker finished second and set a PR with a time of 50.24 seconds in the 400 meters.

Elliot Blake brought home first place in the 800 meters, and Brian Wongchotigul capped off the evening in style by winning the 10,000 meter run - the final event of the meet.



The Tigers will compete April 7-8 at the University of the Incarnate Word Invitational in San Antonio.
