Track & Field Enjoys Strong Day at Cowboys Classic Indoor Meet

Frisco, Texas - Members of the Trinity men's and women's track & field teams turned in some personal-best performances Friday at the Dunamis Sports Group Indoor Classic.



The meet was held at The Star, which is the indoor practice facility for the Dallas Cowboys. The Tigers were up against NCAA Division I and II competitors.

One of the biggest stories was Cody Hall, who set a personal-best mark in the 60-meter hurdles. Hall finished in fifth place and crossed the finish line in 8.04 seconds.

Elliott Blake finished 11th in the mile, setting a personal-best time of 4:29.40. Austin Brown and Michael Erickson had PR's in the 3,000 meters, with respective times of 9:01.89, and 9:04.53.

Abigail Schneebeck had a PR in the women's 60-meter hurdles, clocking in at 9:52. Katie Groke ran the 400 meters in 1:00.47, for her personal-best indoor time. Molly McCullough and Laura Taylor were neck and neck in the 3,000 meters. McCullough ran the event in 10:40.02, and Taylor finished less than a second behind her teammate. 



The first home track & field meet of the year is slated for February 25, with the Trinity Invitational.
