Valmassei and Fowler Earn All-America Honors

Greensboro, North Carolina - Trinity sophomores Daniel Valmassei and Mabel Fowler earned Honorable Mention All-America accolades on the final day of the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships on Saturday.



Valmassei finished in 16th place in men's 3-meter diving with a score of 338.90, earning Honorable Mention All-America recognition.

Earlier in the meet, Valmassei earned All-America honors by finishing fourth on the low board, which followed his Honorable Mention All-America distinction in the event last year.

Fowler swam the women's 200-yard backstroke in 2:03.45 and finished 15th in the consolation final to become an Honorable Mention All-American in the event. She qualified for the consolation round by finishing 16th in the preliminaries this morning.

Sophomore Anthony Liva concluded the Championships with a 22nd-place finish Saturday on the men's high board.

Trinity's men finished in 27th place as a team, while the women were tied for 47th.
