Indianapolis, Indiana - Trinity had student-athletes compete in three different events today, and the Tiger quartet was able to earn Honorable Mention All-America honors in the 200 freestyle relay.
Star Rosales, Lauren Cuda, Abbie Jones, and Lindsay Hagmann competed in the 200 freestyle relay prelims this morning with a time of 1:35.09, which is just .06 seconds short of the school record. The Tigers placed 13th in the event in the morning session and earned Honorable Mention All-America Honors.
In the consolation finals later in the day, the four improved on their time and set a new school record with a time of 1:34.81 to finish in 12th place. The previous school record was 1:35.03 and was set back in 2015.
Senior diver Christine Peterson competed in the women's 1-meter championship today and finished in 26th with a score of 361.50.
First-years divers Daniel Valamassei and Anthony Liva will return to action on Friday to compete in the men's 1-meter championships.
Rosales, Cuda, Jones, and Hagmann will race in the women's 800 freestyle relay on Friday as well, while Peterson will return to action Saturday for the women's 3-meter competition.
