San Antonio - Six members of the 13th-ranked Trinity men's tennis team have earned Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Tennis All-Tournament Team honors.
Selection is based on a player's undefeated record in singles or doubles at last week's conference tournament held at Sherman, Texas. If no one player or doubles team goes undefeated, then the next best record makes the All-Tournament Team.
The Tigers captured their 10th consecutive SCAC Championship with a 5-0 victory over Southwestern (TX) University and defeated Schreiner (TX) University 5-0 in the semifinals. Trinity's 24th overall men's tennis title is the most by any sport in conference history.
Wilson Lambeth was named to the All-Tournament Team for the fourth straight year in singles and doubles. Lambeth went 1-0 in #1 singles and was 2-0 in doubles with partner Jordan Pitts on the top line. Pitts was All-Tournament for the third year in a row, earning the accolade at line one doubles as well as #2 singles.
Cameron Krimbill picked up All-Tournament kudos in #3 singles, and the second line of doubles with Artur Zigman. Wilson Hamilton qualified for the All-Tournament Team for the second straight year, playing #4 singles and third doubles with Christian Settles.
Led by 10th-year Head Coach Russell McMindes, the Tigers stand at 16-9 overall and are 15-3 against NCAA Division III opponents. Trinity qualified automatically for the NCAA Division III Tournament by winning the conference title and will receive the official bid on May 6.
