San Antonio - The 11th-ranked Trinity men's tennis team posted a 9-0 home shutout of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire on Thursday.
The Tigers started by winning all three doubles matches by the scores of 8-1. Wilson Lambeth and Tilden Oliver played the first line, Cameron Krimbill and Artur Zigman took the second, while Wilson Hamilton and Jace Akagi-Okuma won the third.
The first five singles lines went to the Tigers in straight sets. Lambeth, Hamilton, Krimbill, Akagi-Okuma, and Oliver did the honors.
Zigman lost the first set of #6 singles 6-7, but battled back to claim the victory 6-3 and 10-4.
Trinity won its fourth consecutive dual match and has chalked up a 10-8 overall record, with a 9-2 mark against NCAA Division III opponents.
The Blugolds dropped to 11-4 after the loss.
Artur Zigman is now 5-0 in singles this season.
Wilson Lambeth won his sixth straight singles match and stands at 9-6 in the campaign.
Cameron Krimbill has won four singles matches in a row and is sporting a 9-8 mark.
Jace Akagi-Okuma also is on a four-match singles win streak and improved to 8-6.
Krimbill and Zigman are 5-4 as a doubles tandem after winning their fourth straight match.
The Tigers host #29 Southwestern (TX) University at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
