Lambeth Named SCAC Men’s Tennis Singles Player of the Week

San Antonio - Trinity's Wilson Lambeth has been tabbed as the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Singles Player of the Week for the second time this season.

Lambeth went 3-0 on the second line of singles last week on 17th-ranked Trinity's Spring Break trip to Florida. The Tiger senior first claimed wins against #9 Wesleyan (CT) University and 14th-ranked Case Western Reserve (OH) University. Lambeth then clinched the dual-match victory over 11th-ranked Kenyon (OH) College, which puts him at a 6-6 singles record this season.

The team split its matches, defeating Case Western Reserve 6-3 and posting a 5-0 shutout of Kenyon. The Tigers lost 7-2 to Wesleyan and 4-3 to NCAA Division II member Merrimack (MA) College.

Trinity stands at 7-8 overall and is 6-2 against Division III opponents. Next up are two Saturday matches in North Texas, starting with Austin College (TX) in Sherman, Texas. The Tigers finish the trip with a match against Concordia (TX) University in Dallas, Texas.
