Newport, Rhode Island - Wilson Lambeth captured third place in the Arthur Ashe Singles Flight to highlight Trinity's final day of action at the Hall of Fame ITA (Intercollegiate Tennis Association) Grass Court Invitational on Sunday.
The Tiger All-American defeated Jake Williams of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CA) Colleges in straight sets to take third place in the singles flight named for the late tennis Hall of Famer.
All matches in the three-day event were played at the International Tennis Hall of Fame, and consisted exclusively of teams from the NCAA Division III.
On Saturday, Lambeth and Jordan Pitts teamed up to claim the title of the Seixas/Trabert Doubles Flight.
Pitts finished sixth in the Michael Stich Singles Flight after a loss Sunday to Ben van der Sman of Washington University in St. Louis (MO). Wilson Hamilton was a seventh-place finisher in the Flight with a loss to Bernardo Neves of Washington.
Cameron Krimbill finished eighth in the Arthur Ashe Singles Flight, losing a three-set battle to Casey Morris of Claremont.
The Tiger men will compete September 27-30 at the ITA Southwest Championships in Abilene, Texas.
