The first-year Hamilton was tabbed as the SCAC Men's Singles Player of the Week for the second time this season. Lambeth and Pitts claimed SCAC Men's Doubles Team of the Week honors for the fourth time.
The Tiger standouts sparked 16th-ranked Trinity to three home victories last week. Up first was a 7-2 win over #31 Kalamazoo (MI) College. Trinity then defeated Pacific (OR) University 6-3, and concluded its regular-season home schedule with a 7-2 decision over 30th-ranked University of Texas-Tyler.
Hamilton played two matches at the #1 singles position and won them both. He beat the Kalamazoo player 7-6 in the third set, and then took out his opponent from UT-Tyler in straight sets. Hamilton has an 8-8 singles record and has won four consecutive matchups.
Lambeth, a junior, and Pitts, a sophomore, went 3-0 during the week's matches, all on the top line of doubles. The Tiger tandem has posted a 15-5 record and is on an 11-match win streak.
The Tiger team has won eight matches in a row and stands at 11-10 overall. Trinity has a 10-7 mark against NCAA Division III opponents though.
Trinity will conclude its regular-season schedule Saturday, April 14, in Georgetown, Texas. The Tigers first meet host Southwestern (TX) University at 9:00 a.m. and finish with McMurry (TX) University at 1:30 p.m.
