After the initial goal, two of the Tigers' shots in the first half were saved by the Mountaineers goalkeeper.

Andrea Codispoti gave the Tigers a 2-0 lead with a goal in the 52nd minute with an assist from Quentin Van Der Lee. Three minutes later Trinity took a 3-0 lead as Ethan Moore connected on a solo shot.

Michaelis scored his second goal of the game, firing the ball into the Schreiner net in the 65th minute.
