Blanco, Texas – The Tiger men's golf team stands fifth after the first day of action at the 2019 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships on Monday.
Trinity shot a combined team score of 627 for the day, which consisted of 36 holes
Peyton Bartee led the way for the Tigers with his 5-over-par total of 149, highlighted by his first-round score of 73. Bartee had four birdies on the day and is also tied for second among all players with 24 pars in the first two rounds.
Tucker Norris is tied for 18th individually with his total score of 156 for the day, improving by two shots in the second round and tallying six total birdies.
Bryce Pidgeon rounds out the Tigers in the top 20 after shooting 80 in both rounds for a 160 total. He tied Norris for the team lead with six total birdies, including a team-high four in the first round.
Trinity will finish off the tournament with a single round of 18 holes tomorrow at 8:00 a.m.
