Trinity Men’s Golf in 13th Place at West Cup

La Verne, California - The Trinity men's golf team stands in 13th place after Monday's opening two rounds at The West Cup.



The Tigers shot a two-round 628 at the par-71 Sierra La Verne Country Club. Trinity is just five strokes behind 10th-place Allegheny (PA) College, ranked 26th in the NCAA Divison III by Golfstat.

Spencer Leader is tied for 32nd place after shooting a 12-over-par 154.

Dawson Dally is tied for 40th and just two strokes behind his teammate. Dally posted seven birdies in the two rounds and is tied for second place in the category.

Bryce Pidgeon improved his first-round score by four strokes with a 77 and rose eight places to tie for 49th at 158.

DJ Springer is tied for 52nd place and Peyton Bartee is in a tie for the #66 slot.

A total of 10 teams in the tournament hold Golfstat DIII rankings. The 14th-ranked University of La Verne (CA) is the leader at 586.



The tournament concludes Tuesday with a final round of action.
