Trinity Men’s Golf in Eighth at Schreiner Spring Shootout

Kerrville, Texas - The Trinity men's golf team is in eighth place after Monday's opening round at the Schreiner Spring Shootout.

 

HIGHLIGHTS

The Tigers shot a combined score of 310 at Comanche Trace in the opening round, falling just two strokes short of a tie for fifth with the University of Dallas (TX) and the University of Houston-Victoria (TX). McMurry (TX) University is the first-round leader with a 292 at the Schreiner (TX) University-hosted event.

Bryce Pidgeon is the top individual scorer for the Tigers after shooting a par-72, good for a seventh-place standing. Pidgeon is just three strokes behind the leaders from Our Lady of the Lake (TX) University and the University of St. Thomas (TX).

Spencer Leader and DJ Springer are tied for 38th place, seven strokes behind their Tiger teammate. Peyton Bartee is in a tie for the #45 slot, and Dawson Dally stands in 58th place.
