Three Trinity Baseball Players Named to All-Tournament Team

San Antonio – Three players from Trinity's fourth-ranked baseball team have been named to the Seguin Regional All-Tournament Team.

Senior Dalys Binder and juniors Mark Tindall and Rafe Chaumette all earned the honor, following Trinity's three games at the regional tournament.

Binder led the offense by going 6-12 with two doubles and four runs scored over the three games. He went 3-5 with two doubles and two runs scored in the opening game of the regionals for the Tigers.

Chaumette picked up five hits in three games, highlighted by his 3-5 performance in the win over Texas Lutheran. He had a double and a home run among his three hits, as well as picking up a pair of RBI.

Tindall pitched in two games on Saturday, earning the win with 4.0 innings of relief in the game against Texas Lutheran. He allowed just one earned run in 6.2 total innings of work, yielding just five hits and recording two strikeouts.

Led by 21st-year Head Coach Tim Scannell, Trinity went 1-2 at the Seguin Regional, losing both games against Franklin (IN) College and eliminating host Texas Lutheran University.

The Tigers were 35-12 overall this season, sharing the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Regular Season Championship with a 14-4 conference mark. Trinity won its 12th overall conference championship and qualified for the NCAA Division III Playoffs for the 12th time in school history.
