Trinity Baseball Ranked Fourth Nationally

San Antonio - The Trinity baseball team moved up a position to a ranking of fourth in the NCAA Division III by the latest D3baseball.com/National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Poll.

Led by 21st-year Head Coach Tim Scannell, the Tigers are on a six-game win streak and have chalked up an overall record of 30-9 and are also ranked second in the West Region. 

The Tigers finished the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference competition with a 14-4 mark and were declared SCAC regular-season co-champions with Texas Lutheran University. TLU gained the top-seeded slot in this week's SCAC Tournament, and Trinity is seeded #2, as the Bulldogs won the series 2-1 with the Tigers.

Trinity opens the four-team, double elimination SCAC Tournament Friday in Cleburne, Texas. The Tigers will first take on third-seeded Centenary (LA) College at 4:30 p.m.
