Baseball Moves to Third in National Poll

San Antonio - The Trinity baseball team moved up a position to third in the NCAA Division III by the latest D3baseball.com/National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Poll.

Led by Head Coach Tim Scannell, the Tigers have chalked up 581 points in the poll, 13 behind #2 Rowan NJ) University. 

The Tigers stand at 11-3 prior and are on a four-game win streak prior to Tuesday afternoon's home game with Millikin (IL) University. Pitcher James Nittoli is tied for second nationally in victories, sporting an undefeated 4-0 record on the mound. Outfielder Jake Martin is in a tie for 26th in runs scored with 17 in his column.

Following the Millikin home game, the Tigers head to Irving, Texas, next weekend to open their Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference campaign with the University of Dallas (TX). Saturday's doubleheader begins at 12:00 p.m., and Sunday's single game starts at 1:00 p.m.
