San Antonio - Thanks to the efforts of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), Trinity emerged as the “champion” of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference “Change for the Better” competition.
Back in February, SAAC members collected $1,050.59 at Tiger basketball games. The funds were donated to the Children’s Miracle Network, and The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio is part of that essential non-profit organization. Trinity’s SAAC is lead by volleyball Assistant Coach Aly Lilley, the adviser to the “voice of student-athletes on campus.”
All eight conference schools participated in the fundraising effort and together raised $2,588.81. Among the organizations which benefited were Special Olympics, Children’s Hospital of Colorado, and Grayson County Children’s Advocacy Center.
