Nicole Balderston is in her fourth year as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. Nicole came to Trinity in August 2015 from Delta State (MS) University, where she worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer. Her main areas of responsibility were football and men’s basketball.
She earned a Master of Science degree in sports and human performance from Delta State in May 2015. During her undergraduate studies at the University of Kansas, Nicole worked with the Jayhawks football, track and field, and cross country teams. Nicole was awarded a University of Kansas School of Education Recognition Scholarship in 2012. She received the Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training from Kansas in May 2013.
Nicole was a student athletic trainer at Baker (KS) University in the fall of 2010, working with men’s basketball and wrestling. Her additional experience includes work with the Mississippi Sports Medicine High School Outreach, the University of Kansas Relays, and the Lawrence, Kansas, Marathon.
She is certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association and holds a license from the state of Texas. Additionally, Nicole is First Aid Professional Rescuer Certified and is certified in the Graston Technique, which is a procedure that enables clinicians to detect scar tissue and restrictions which affect normal function.
