Rosemary Steup Named SCAC Women's Runner of the Week

San Antonio – Trinity University Tigers first-year student-athlete Rosemary Steup of Kingwood, Texas (Kingwood), has been selected as the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week.

Steup captured first place at the DIII Texas Little State Championships last Saturday in Seguin, Texas. It marked her first intercollegiate victory. Steup's time of 23:28 on the 6k course at Texas Lutheran University was 40 seconds ahead of the runner-up. Her time puts her 10th in the Tigers all-time records.

The Tiger women and men also won the team championships.

Trinity's teams will compete Saturday at the UIW (University of the Incarnate Word) Invitational at Live Oak City Park, in nearby Live Oak, Texas.
