Desie Baker Named to SCAC All-Sportsmanship Team

San Antonio - Trinity Tigers senior middle blocker Desie Baker (Bulverde, Texas/Smithson Valley) has been selected for the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Volleyball All-Sportsmanship Team.
 
The SCAC places special emphasis on sportsmanship throughout the year, and honors individual student-athletes.
 
Baker contributed to the Tigers successful season. Trinity advanced to the SCAC Championship Tournament final, beating top seed (and nationally sixth-ranked) Southwestern in the semifinals. Defending SCAC champion Colorado College (ranked 13th) beat Trinity in the title match.
 
During the campaign, Baker had 32 kills (.94 per set), and blocked 29 shots (.85 per set).
 
Trinity, which finished the season with a 22-16 record, is led by head Coach Julie Jenkins.
