Caiti Troyer and Madison McMahon Earn All-SCAC Volleyball Honors
San Antonio - Trinity University Tigers senior setter Caiti Troyer and sophomore outside hitter Madison McMahon were elected to the All-SCAC Volleyball Teams.
Troyer, from Atlanta (Wesleyan), was named to the All-SCAC First Team. McMahon, from Austin, Texas (St. Michael's Academy), made the All-SCAC Second Team. The two Tigers were among those players who received recognition Friday night at the SCAC Volleyball Championship Tournament, being held at Trinity.
It marked the second straight year Troyer was selected for an all-conference team. Last year, Troyer made the All-SCAC Third Team. Troyer has 1,344 assists this season, and 3,490 in her career. She is fifth in career assists, in the Tiger record books.
McMahon has sparked the Tigers offense this season. She leads the team in kills with 445, an average of 3.5 per set.
Trinity won its opening match of the SCAC Tournament 3-2 on Friday, holding off a tough comeback bid from Austin College. The Tigers will face top seed Colorado College in tomorrow's Semifinals.
