Trinity's Griffith Makes NCAA Women's Tennis Singles Tourney

San Antonio – Trinity University Tigers sophomore Katie Griffith has received a bid to the NCAA Division III Women’s Tennis Championships singles tournament.

Griffith, from Spokane, Wash. (Ferris), will compete in the 32-draw event May 28-30 at the University of Mary Washington at Fredericksburg, Va.

She recorded a 17-11 record in singles this season for the Tigers, going 4-1 in the fall, and 13-10 in dual matches. Griffith had a 12-3 record against Division III opponents, and is ranked No. 6 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association West Region.

Trinity’s women’s tennis team is led by second-year head coach Ryan Takao.
