Wallender Tied for Lead at Alamo City Classic; Tiger Team is in Second

Wallender was tied for the lead after Monday's first women's round
at the Trinity-hosted Alamo City Classic at River Crossing Golf
Club, while the Trinity team is currently second.
Wallender shot a 3-over 75 at the par-72, 5,814-yard River Crossing
Course, and was tied for the lead with Sara Eckert of Mary
Hardin-Baylor. McMurry's Kelly Green was in third place, with a
seven-over 79.
The Tiger team shot 330 in Monday's round, and was behind the
leader, Mary Hardin-Baylor, at 319, Texas-Tyler and Southwestern
(335) were tied for third place, and McMurry (371) was fifth. Texas
Lutheran (381) stood in sixth place after the first round.
Three other Trinity golfers were in the top-20 standings: Molly
McCarthy (tied for ninth, 82), Molly Zumbro (tied for 16th, 85),
and Julia Orrange (tied for 18th, 88). Alessa Hunter shot 92 and
was tied for 24th place.
Elise Rosmarin, playing as an individual, recorded 92 and was in a
tie for the No. 24 slot.
The tournament concludes Tuesday with one round of golf.
