Coach Hill was elected the D3hoops.com South Region Coach of the Year after guiding the Tigers to a 28-2 record, and a trip to the NCAA Division III round of 16. It marked the third appearance in the NCAA Postseason under his leadership, and the 28 victories tied a Trinity single-season record.
Trinity also won its third Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship in the five years Coach Hill has been at the helm. For his efforts, Coach Hill was tabbed as the SCAC Coach of the Year for the second time in his career.
Holguin was chosen as the D3hoops.com South Region Player of the Year, as well as being elected to the All-Region First Team. She made the All-South Region Second Team in 2016. Holguin also was selected as the SCAC Player of the Year for the second consecutive time. She scored 461 points during the campaign, placing her 10th in Trinity's single-season record book. Additionally, Holguin produced 1,019 points during her career, becoming the 16th Tiger player to reach the 1,000-point plateau.
Weaver made the D3hoops.com All-South Region Second Team in her first season with the Tigers, and was also elected the SCAC Newcomer of the Year. Weaver scored 473 points during the year, placing her eighth on Trinity's all-time single-season scoring list. She led the Tigers in scoring, rebounding, and field goal percentage during the year.
