Two Trinity Women's Basketball Players Elected to District Academic Team

San Antonio -- Trinity University Tigers senior guard Danielle Hubenak and junior forward Abby Dietert have been elected to the Capital One Academic District 6 Women's Basketball Team.
 
Hubenak (San Antonio/Churchill) and Dietert (Cibolo, Texas/Steele) were named to the College Division Third Team.
 
Voting for the district teams is conducted by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
 
Hubenak, an accounting major, is Trinity's all-time leader in assists. This season, Hubenak has chalked up 68 assists, and has 402 in her career. She is averaging 14.2 points per game, and leads the Tigers in 3-point field goals made, with 42.
 
Dietert, a psychology major, is the Tigers leader in scoring with 17.1 points per game. She also is the top rebounder (6.7 rebounds per game), and has the best shooting percentage (.481, 113-235).
 
Trinity (9-10, 6-5 SCAC), led by sixth-year head Coach Amie Bradley, has won two games in a row and six of the last seven. The Tigers are tied for second place in the SCAC West Division with Millsaps, who they play Friday at Jackson, Miss. Trinity takes on first-place Hendrix on Saturday at Conway, Ark.
