Tigers to Host Pink Zone Cancer Awareness Event

San Antonio - The Trinity Tigers women's basketball team will host the Women's Basketball Association Pink Zone night, to raise awareness of breast cancer, during Saturday's game with the University of Dallas in Sams Gym. The game tips off at 5 p.m.
 
Basketball teams around the nation are participating in this event, which began in 2007 as "Think Pink."
 
Donation boxes will be located throughout Sams Gym.
 
The recipient of the donations is the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, named after the late North Carolina State women's basketball coach. Yow, who died from breast cancer in January 2009, was a founding member of the WBCA.
 
All fans in attendance are encouraged to wear pink, to show support for this worthy program.
