Four Tiger Women's Basketball Players Earn All-SCAC Honors

San Antonio - Four Trinity University Tigers women's basketball players have been elected to the All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Teams.

Junior guard Danielle Hubenak (First Team), sophomore forward Abby Dietert (Second Team), sophomore guard Ali Marzella (Third Team), and sophomore forward Kelsey Goodell (Honorable Mention), were elected in exclusive voting by SCAC head coaches.

Hubenak, from San Antonio (Churchill), was selected for the All-SCAC Third Team in 2009. The 5-foot-7 Hubenak is Trinity's all-time assists leader, with 334 during her career. She is third in this season's SCAC assists (4.3 per game), fourth in free throw percentage (.839, 73-87), eighth in steals (1.9 per game), and 15th in scoring (12.4 points per game).

Dietert, from Cibolo, Texas (Steele), was an All-SCAC Honorable Mention selection last year. The 5-foot-9 Dietert is fourth in conference field goal shooting (.508, 129-254), and 11th in scoring (13.2 points per game).

Marzella, from Katy, Texas (Taylor), received All-SCAC Honorable Mention recognition last season. The 5-foot-8 Marzella is Trinity's all-time leader in 3-point baskets (107). Marzella is seventh in SCAC 3-pointers (1.9 per game) this year, and leads in steals (2.3 per game). She also is ranked 14th in SCAC scoring (12.6 points per game).

Goodell, from Portland, Ore. (Lincoln), registered six double-doubles during the season. The 5-foot-11 Goodell scored 23 points in last Friday's 80-65 loss to Centre at the SCAC Tournament in Jackson, Miss. Those are the fifth-most points in Trinity history in a SCAC Tournament game, and her 12 made free throws are the second-highest total. Goodell is sixth in SCAC blocked shots (1.6 per game), eighth in rebounding (7.1 per game), and 13th in scoring (13.0 points per game).

Trinity, led by head coach Amie Bradley, completed the season with a 17-9 overall record, and an 11-5 SCAC mark.
