What other organizations are you involved in at Trinity? Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Tutor in the Mathematics Department
How did you first get involved in track? I used to go to some of my sister’s track meets when I was younger and I would watch her high jump and run. It always looked like a lot fun to me, so I joined the track team the first year I could in middle school.
What has your experience been like in the classroom at Trinity?: I really enjoy the academics at Trinity. All of my professors are very supportive and reach out to help me, especially in the mathematics and education department. They have informed me of summer internships, tutoring jobs, volunteer opportunities, and future scholarships. Even though my classes are very challenging, the professors are always willing to help and they truly want me to succeed.
What do you like the most about Trinity Track and Field?: I absolutely love the team. I am so lucky to get to be around a group of such amazing people. Every day I look forward to seeing everyone at practice. I am also very thankful to have such great coaches that know how hard to push me so I can perform to the best of my ability. They are very supportive and always there to help, whether it is on or off the track.
Why did you choose Trinity University? I chose Trinity because of the strong academics and great track and field team. I also really liked that it was a smaller school so I would not feel lost in the crowd. The fact that Trinity is located in Texas was also a major plus.
