Track & Field Teams Earn Academic Honors From USTFCCCA
San Antonio - Trinity University Tigers men's and women's track and field has been designated as a Division III All-Academic Team by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
The USTFCCCA honored 64 teams which had a cumulative grade point average of 3.10 or better. Head Coach David Svoboda's teams have produced a number of recognized student-athletes.
Recent graduate Zach Brush Brush was earlier elected to the Capital One Academic All-America Men's Track and Field/Cross Country Third Team. The All-American, and Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Track and Field Athlete of the Year, was also awarded a prestigious $7,500 NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship.
Two sisters, Rachel Brady and Sonia Brady, were summa cum laude (with highest honors) graduates of Trinity, and were elected to the Capitol One Academic All-District 6 Men's and Women's College Division Track and Field/Cross Country First Team. Joining them on the First Team was junior Elana Edwards.
