Trinity's Wildman Places 13th at Texas Tech Indoor Meet
Lubbock, Texas - Trinity University senior Todd Wildman of Dallas (Jesuit) placed 13th in the men's long jump Friday, at the Tigers' season-opening Texas Tech Invitational indoor track and field meet.
Wildman, the 2009 NCAA Division III indoor pentathlon champion, registered a jump of 6.64 meters (21-9.50), in the finals of the meet dominated by Division I athletes.
Sophomore Corey Callahan of Austin, Texas (Bowie), had a mark of 4.87 meters (15-11.75) in the prelims of the women's long jump, and did not qualify for the final.
Wildman will compete in Saturday's 55-meter hurdles, as will first-year runner Riley Walker of Austin (Bowie). Sophomore Spencer Hayes of Clear Lake, Texas (Clear Lake), will run in the 55-meters. The mile competitors are senior Chass Armstrong of Boerne, Texas (Boerne); and senior Bryant Wright of Tulsa, Okla. (Holland Hall). Wildman, Walker, Armstrong and Hayes compose the 4x400-meter relay team.
Senior Nicole Fisk of San Pedro, Calif. (Chadwick), is in the women's 400 meters, and senior Beth Tweedy of Austin (Westwood), will compete in the triple jump.
