Andrew Battles

Andrew Battles, from Colleyville, Texas has already made a splash this season and he's only a sophomore. He recently won the 500-yard freestyle (4:44.0) and the 1,650 free (16:35.07) at the Western Shootout. A week before that he won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:48.05 and the 500 free, while clocking a conference-best of 4:49.14.

Battles is no newcomer to success. Last year, as a freshman, he set two new Trinity records in the 1,650 and 1,000 free along with the conference record in the 1,650 yard free, with a time of 15:56.95. He was also a national qualifier in the 1,650. But Battles didn't stop there, he also proved that he was quite the student-athlete by attaining CSCAA (Collegiate Swim Coaches Association of American ) Men's Scholar All-American honors as well.

His favorite personal sports memory is going to sectionals with his club team his senior year of high school.

The three people he'd most like to meet include Agustus McCrae, Michael Crichton, and Neil Armstrong.

His dream job is being a movie producer.
