San Antonio – Trinity University Tigers
seniors Graham Mullings and Renee Ulrich have been selected for the
second annual Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men’s
and Women’s All-Sportsmanship Teams, respectively.
Each SCAC head coach was asked to elect one member from his or her
team who displayed good sportsmanship throughout the season.
Mullings, from Magnolia, Texas (Montgomery), made the All-Sportsmanship Team for the second consecutive year. He was a key member of the SCAC championship 400-yard medley relay team last February, at the conference meet in Louisville, Ky. The Tigers set a new SCAC record, clocking in at 3:27.17. Ulrich, from Albuquerque, N.M. (Albuquerque Academy), finished second in the SCAC 1,650-yard freestyle competition (17:55.61).
The Tiger women captured their seventh consecutive SCAC team championship.
Senior Lindsay Martin and junior Hayley Emerick went on to win
women’s NCAA Division III Diving Championships. Martin, from
Longview, Texas (Pine Tree), won the 1-meter board in Minneapolis,
and was selected as Female Diver of the Meet. Emerick became the
3-meter national champion.
Trinity’s head swimming coach is John Ryan. The head diving
coach is Stan Randall, who was elected the NCAA Championships
Female Diving Coach of the Meet.
