Brandi Crnkovic is in her second season as the Tigers assistant softball coach.

Coach Crnkovic comes to the Trinity campus from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, where she was a graduate assistant for the Bearkats softball program.

She played for Tigers first-year head coach Selena Collins, who was an assistant at Sam Houston State before joining the Trinity staff.

Coach Crnkovic, a former Bearkats pitcher, is Sam Houston State’s all-time career strikeout leader (524 strikeouts in 137 games). She also ranks No. 2 in saves (eight), fourth in innings pitched (664), and No. 5 in victories (49).

In 2007, Coach Crnkovic was named the Southland Conference Tournament Most Valuable Player, after pitching 23 consecutive scoreless innings. The Bearkats earned their first-ever NCAA Division I postseason softball berth. She was also selected for the All-Southland Conference Second Team.

She hurled four no-hitters during her career at Sam Houston State.

Coach Crnkovic earned the Bachelor of Arts degree in kinesiology in 2009, and was named to the Southland Conference Academic Team the same year. She is currently working on a master’s at Sam Houston State in curriculum and instruction.

A native of Caldwell, Texas, Coach Crnkovic was an all-state and four-time all-district honoree while playing for the Caldwell High School Hornets.
