Karen MacPherson

Karen MacPherson returns for her sophomore season at Trinity this spring, having put together one of the best seasons in school history as a first-year player.
MacPherson became just the fourth player in Trinity history to finish the season with a batting average above .400 (hers was .402), but it was her performance after she reached base that was truly amazing.

Prior to the 2009 season, Trinity’s single season record for stolen bases just barely reached double digits (11), but after all was said and done, MacPherson had nearly tripled that record. She finished with 31 stolen bases last year, which not only shattered the record for one season, but also puts her second in Trinity career history.

As a first-year, MacPherson led Trinity in hits, batting average, triples, stolen bases, walks, and on-base percentage. In just her second season with the Tigers, this speedy outfielder will be looking to lead the team once again this spring, as they shoot for a SCAC title and a return to the NCAA playoffs.
