Chrissy Armstrong Named to SCAC All-Sportsmanship Team

San Antonio - Trinity University Tigers first-year shortstop/second baseman Chrissy Armstrong (Riverside, Calif./Ramona) has been named to the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Softball All-Sportsmanship Team.

The SCAC honors student-athletes who exhibit sportsmanship throughout the season.

Armstrong started all 45 of the Tigers games, and batted .233. She scored 14 runs, smacked six RBI, stole 9-13 bases, and had a fielding percentage of .966.

Trinity, led by first-year head Coach Selena Collins, had one of the most successful seasons in a number of years.

The Tigers, who completed the campaign with a 21-24 record, advanced to the SCAC Championship Tournament final at Greencastle, Ind. It marked the first time the Tigers made the final game since 2007.
