Trinity's Garrett Selected for SCAC Softball All-Sportsmanship Team

San Antonio – Trinity University Tigers sophomore outfielder Rachel Garrett was selected for the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Softball All-Sportsmanship Team.

Each SCAC coach was asked to select one team member who displayed good sportsmanship throughout the season.

Garrett, from Round Rock, Texas (Round Rock), was earlier elected to the All-SCAC Softball Team, for the second straight year. She was second on the Tiger team in batting, with a .336 average (41-122). Garrett swatted 11 RBI, while scoring 25 runs.

Trinity (16-22)  went 2-2 at last month’s SCAC Championship Tournament at Conway, Ark. Trinity earned victories over Rhodes and Centre, while losing to Millsaps and eventual champion Southwestern.
