Tiger Men’s Tennis Wraps Up Trinity Invitational

San Antonio - The Tiger men's tennis team concluded its first home tournament of the fall semester Saturday at their own Trinity Invitational.

HIGHLIGHTS

The flighted singles and doubles event consisted of Trinity, the University of the Incarnate Word (TX), Laredo (TX) Community College, St. Mary's (TX) University, and St. Edward's (TX) University.

Akagi-Okuma took fifth place in Flight 2 Singles with a decision over fellow teammate Lars Wiik.

The Flight 2 doubles title went to sophomore McKenna Fujitani and first-year Jace Akagi-Okuma by default.  

Wilson Lambeth was runner-up to a St. Mary's player in Flight 1 Singles, as he lost the third set 10-4. Lambeth and Matt Tyer finished second in Flight 1 Doubles after a hard fought 8-6 match against a tandem from St. Edward's.

Trinity will host the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Southwest Region Singles and Doubles Championships September 28-October 1.
